- Your monthly electric bill (a photo or screenshot works) — this drives more of the decision than anything else.
- Your state and city — rates, net metering rules, and outages vary a lot by grid.
- Roof basics, if known — general orientation (south-facing is best), any major shade, and roughly how old the roof is.
- What you're deciding between — doing nothing, solar only, solar + battery, a PPA, or a specific quote you want reviewed.
Don't have all of it? Send what you do. We'll tell you exactly what's missing and why it matters.
Self-serve first
Some questions already have answers on the site — often faster than email:
- "What would I save?" — Run your numbers in the solar savings calculator (fully adjustable, Texas-focused).
- "What does solar actually cost in 2026?" — Read How Much Do Solar Panels Cost in 2026?
- "Is a battery worth it after the tax credit expired?" — Read Solar Battery Storage: The Complete Guide (2026)
- "Can I trust this site?" — See how we write and what we stand behind on the About page.
A note on quotes
Send us a quote you've received and we'll walk through it with you line by line — price per watt, equipment, fine print, and whether the number is fair for your area. We don't work for the installer who gave you the quote, so you get a clean read on it.
